PIXIE LIGHT
SUBMERSIBLE LED
Introduction
WET designs and manufactures all the devices used in their projects. No single project is the same, and devices are often tweaked and revised in order to meet the unique vision of a project. In this case, a major update was being done to the pixie light requiring a larger body. The engineering team enlisted our team to consult on the form development of the shroud and internal housings that would be produced in-house. Within the design constraints given to us, we did a variety of sketches and form studies to reach an elegant form that would be fitting for the Pixie’s new identity. As the lead designer on the project I used sketching, solidworks, foam modeling, and 3D printing to refine the form and work within the functional constraints in this project.
